We are excited to announce our panellists/speakers for the 2020 International Women’s Day Luncheon are Dr Jo Lukins, Amber Hauff and OAM Fay Barker.

Dr Jo Lukins

Dr Jo Lukins spends her day inside the heads of individuals, teams and organisations – seeking to understand what makes them tick and assisting them to reach their potential. A psychological Indiana Jones, she describes it as a truly fascinating career that she is grateful for every day. Dr Lukins holds a PhD in psychology and is currently the inaugural sport psychology consultant for the NQ Cowboys. Her book, ‘The Elite: Think like an athlete, Succeed like a champion’ was released in June 2019 and shines the spotlight on elite level thinking for everyone.

Amber Hauff

As the Principal of St Patrick’s College Townsville, Amber prides herself on setting an example as a female leader in the education sector and a role-model to others to empower women in the pursuit of equality. With a teaching career spanning 20 years in schools including St Joseph’s Nudgee College, Clayfield College and All Saints Anglican School on the Gold Coast, Amber has demonstrated a high level of competence and capacity across all dimensions of College life. A woman of great passion and integrity, Amber understands firsthand the value of education in shaping women to be equipped for change and to make change.

Fay Barker

Fay has operated a number of successful privately owned companies for more than 20 years from Townsville, venturing into joint ventures in Indonesia and Thailand. Fay was awarded an Order of Australia in the Australia Day Awards 2006 for her services to business and the community of Townsville. She is currently the Chair of the CEO Circle Brisbane; the Chair of the RACQ Foundation; Member of the Advisory Board to the Copperstring 2 project; and Member of the Reconstruction Advisory Board for the Townsville City Council.
